Murmuration

Murmuration

Murmuration I — Symmetries of the Corps opens a new body of work in motion, developed in parallel with the Pentimento print series. Where Pentimento slows the generative image into material stillness, Murmuration asks the opposite question: what happens when the dancer is allowed to multiply, mirror, and move? Here, a corps de ballet assembles itself from a single figure — ranks of ballerinas fanning outward in kaleidoscopic symmetry, held against a dark field of smoke and breath. The piece borrows the logic of the classical ensemble and subjects it to generative patterning, producing a choreography that no human corps could perform and no machine could have invented alone. The work exists as moving image: a short, looping study in collective gesture.
